How do I get to Koh Kood from the mainland?

Koh Kood does not have its own airport, so you have to take a boat from Trat to reach Koh Kood. From Trat City, you can take a pickup taxi to Laem Sok Pier, from where Koh Kood Island can be reached from the mainland. Three boat companies operate from Laem Sok Pier. The trip takes one to two hours and costs 350 Thai baht ($ 11) per person upwards, which also includes a pickup taxi transfer to your hotel on the island. Most boats depart from Laem Sok Pier in the morning and at noon.

How do I get to Trat?

To get to Trat, you can either take a select flight to Trat Airport, which is usually available in high season. Therefore, in low season, always check with Trat Airport before booking, as flight schedules change from time to time. You can also take private transportation from Bangkok hotels to Trat. Probably the cheapest way to get to Trat is to take a bus from Bangkok to Trat City.

A good alternative is the Boonsiri ferry bus that departs from Khao San road (central Bangkok) and your ticket will take you all the way to your resort in Koh Kood, arriving at 1:00 pm. We suggest that you do not buy a return ticket as Koh Kood has a habit of making people want to stay longer.
